You must be. I went to elementary school on Monte Sano and we played in the woods...digging in the dirt, moving around old trees and rocks, etc. You would think that we would have seen every bug there is to see.

It's the novelty that scares me, I think. And the stinger! And there are scorpions out west that hunt in packs and like to hide in houses and they can KILL YOU. Especially if you're a toddler.

I don't like spiders, either, but at least I know them.

Was the lid on the crock pot at least? Or dinner over? We found a spider in our dog's water bowl yesterday, but your crock pot trumps that.

OMG, in packs?! Yick!

I was done using it, but I am extremely terrified of spiders, so the whole time it's lowering itself down, I'm freaking out and hollering for the hubby. Then in lands in the damn dish. UGH.

Yikes! 1/16" and they travel in packs. How has no one made a horror movie out of this yet? *shudders*

If it makes you feel any better, he was very tiny and is very much no longer with us.

I don't know...but iirc, most of the ones around here are also called bark scorpions. Alabama bark scorpions or North American bark scorpions or something like that.
