Before anything, here's our vlog! The rest of the entry will be put under a cut since it's kind of image-heavy.

This is a very late entry about UP AME: Track 10. The con was held the weekend before I went back to school (my semestral break ended two weeks ago..) so busy days have commenced ever since, and I've only had the time to microblog, as opposed to what I'm doing right now, which is shaving a few minutes off my studying to type up this relatively lengthy entry! ... I am talking too much.

It was a huge whirlwind of a convention. We were cramming costumes in the morning before the con started, and even during the convention itself! Billie and Janelle (as Silver and Lyra) arrived much later than Ina, Alex, Roselyn and I (Pikachu kigurumi, Dawn, Blue and Red) did because of their Saturday classes, and I forgot to bring Janelle black socks, so after I put makeup on everyone with Ina's help, we rushed off to the department store (which was right next to the convention center, luckily enough) bought the socks, and made a beeline for the venue once more.

It was a good thing Ina, Alex, Rosie and I bought tickets for everyone in the cosplay group as soon as we got to the event hours earlier-- the line for tickets had already snaked its way around the entire convention center when we arrived, and it got much much worse as time progressed. There was just way too many people! Security got really strict, and later on, it came to a point where they refused to let people in because the amount of convention attendees risked inconveniencing the other events being held in the same building.. That, and.. Well, reiterating myself, there were just so. many. people. Crowd control became a big problem. (But then, for some reason, I anticipated this-- although I wasn't very pleased with what was happening. I can't blame anyone, though. I don't know the story behind the mismanagement of the influx of attendees, so I don't really have the ground to pass judgment.) We got shut out eventually as well, even though we were already stamped and had gone in and out of the convention hall a few times already. So we held a mini-photoshoot instead, to pass time.

Here are various shots of me fixing up peoples' costumes. I SHOULD TOTALLY OWN A SALON CALLED "RED'S POKEPARLOR."

Here's crayoneyeliner , trying to take photos of me "sending out my Charizard to battle." Billie helped hold up the small figurine. I think we succeeded...? You be the judge.

We experimented with a lot of different photo compositions and poses. In trying to come up with shots like this, we had to go through failed attempts like these...

WHOOPS IT SLIPPED

Observe: Silver's barbecue-ball, Lyra's eyepatch-ball, and Blue's nose-ball.

After the photoshoot, we tried to re-enter the event, but we still weren't allowed, so we opted for dinner instead and waited it out until nightfall. We were finally allowed inside at around 7:00pm. We made our last few rounds around the area, and then we went home.

Gah, our first convention after a long looong loooong while was really hectic, but for some reason I still had fun because I got to cosplay with my best friends again, and meet new people!

Everyone kept mistaking me for Ash though ('cause Red's not really known here.) I sort of wanted to gut a Rattata every time I got called "Ash." Hahahaha!
