Even Shane Warne is struggling to justify his optimism ahead of the next test. 'We can't play that badly again' seems to be the gist of it.

Still, we let them off the hook. There was more life in the last four batsmen (113) than the first four (31). Cook meanwhile now has more than Clarke, Hughes and Smith put together. I think it's about time for the apocalypse now...

Update 2 : Apocalypse averted, normal order restored. Mitchell Johnson has apparently spent two years lulling us into a false sense of security.
