2008 is officially BL year for Korea!

That is it! In reading various blogs about Korean pop culture (well mainly concerning dramas and movies), I came across another bit of news.

Well, the main guy from the shota-loli Korean film "Jenny and Juno" (Kim Hye Sung) will be starring in a pink film named "Boy meets Boy".That is not very imaginative, isnt it? The plus thing about this movie is made by the same avant garde director that made 3 iron, the modern silent movie that I absolutely love. So, this movie is going to be a silent movie. This one will be one heck of movie with so much unspoken homoeroticism. HAHAHAHA.

Other pink movies coming this year from Korea would be the period movie "Frozen Flower".  Korean  fangirls  would rejoice because  in this  film  two of Hall  Yus "finest" male specimen, Jo  In Sung & Joo Jin Mo.  Well, for the synopsis here is a cut....

“Frozen Flower” is an original piece based on a true story of Koryo era.

It revolves around love and betrayal among Koryo king, 36 royal bodyguards composed of young/handsome warriors called ‘Gunryongwi’ and a beautiful queen from Yuan kingdom.

Jo In Sung plays ‘Hong-Lim’, the commander of ‘Gunryongwi’ who gets special ‘affection’ from the king.

To partner Jo In Sung in the film, hot hunk actor, Joo Jin Mo has been casted to play a young charismatic Koryo king who falls in love with Hong Lim. Actor Joo Jin Mo came to fame after movies like “Musa: The Warrior”, “200 Pounds Beauty” and “Love/Sarang”.
Last but not the least is they are going to make their own movie adaptation of the BL-circles-famous manga "Antique Bakery". I haven't  read any more details on that yet  except that  Joo Ji Hoon is definitely part of the cast. I just hope he is not the boxer with the sweet tooth. hehehehe

bl, movies, k-drama
