Time for another occasional update from D.C.

The semester has started, and I've already gone through a brief period of being overwhelmed before getting better again.

As I said, I am now in charge of one of the D.C. chapters of Drinking Liberally. Well, on very short notice, the place we were meeting at told us we couldn't meet there anymore. That sucked, and led to me scrambling to find a new place. That's done now, and now I can get back to DL being the social and networking event that I want it to be.

Along with that, classes are good, I'm in a class on truth, media, and American politics which is covering a lot of interesting ground. My other two classes are on Political Engagement, and on Political Parties. The Parties class is a full blown poli-sci type class, so it's interesting to deal with elements of a discipline I'm not as familiar with.

The Internship is fun. We have a website and our report is now available online. The website doesn't look all that great, but one of my tasks is to make it look better. Check it out here.

Other than those things, life is still busy. Went to a Pirates vs. Ninjas party last week, and then went to a Neil Gaiman Reading last night. Coming up, Terry Pratchett, Scott McCloud, and the Red Elvises are all coming to D.C.! October is going to be a busy month.
