I guess because in the midst of her ignoring me, thinking she was so much more mature, and wishing for me to be more of a socialite, I realized that the relationship wasn't important to me anymore. She had already moved on, so there was no point in me clinging to anything.
But now I know for absolute certainty that they will always end the same way. I can fulfill my promise to myself because I have adequate knowledge.
