back yard wood pergola - re-staining project

Using my 6ft ladder, went to clean the top wood "roof" of the back yard pergola. The length of the broom/patio brush did not reach to the center of the top of the pergola.

Got a measuring tape. Seems the mid-point of the length of the top of the pergola is about 10ft. So the total length of the top of the pergola is about 20ft.

Seems I will need a longer threaded pole to attach the brush to, to clean off the top of the pergola, in preparation for re-staining it.

Looked up painting supplies online for Ace Hardware / Mission Hardware in San Gabriel. Seems they do make a telescoping 6ft to 12ft extension pole.

So, will plan on purchasing it, as well as a narrow 3inch or so roller brush that can attach to the extension pole, then can fully brush clean the top of the pergola.

Once the top is brushed clean, will go purchase the stain, and other supplies, then begin the re-staining part of the project.

Pergola roof width: approx 20ft.

Pergola roof depth: approx 17ft.
