"I guess she doesn't like your blog, Rob." - next door - protective fence project update

Sep 05, 2013 08:14

Between 7a and 7:30am today, brought in my recyclables trash can from the curb, then walked west across the street to begin a morning walk.

As I am getting doing so, I hear angry dog barking nearby, which startled me. Look to see one of the people from Next Door, the wife, on the sidewalk in front of their house, with one if her dogs that she has on a leash.

Dog still barking angrily, but I chose to ignore it, and proceed north on the sidewalk.

The wife of Next Door then yells out "I guess she doesn't like your blog, Rob."

...which I also chose to ignore.

Wow. Narcissistic personality disorder.

So as I do my walk, I ponder things. The state of the fact I want to keep my family safe, and that Next Door is not maintaining their fence that borders on my property.

So, I figure the continued use of truth, and writing things down, and awaiting karma for the rest, would continue to be the course of action I accept of myself.

Fact: No fence repairs have yet been made. What I worry about: that the fence hole will get wide enough for their dogs, medium shepard/collie sized dogs, to trespass into my back yard and harm my property, cat again, or family.

Fact: here is a picture I took this morning, when I got back from my walk at 7:35am, of the fence. I put my size 11 sandal in the picture for reference. If just one more wood slat fails before I can get my fence up, will have to put some kind of emergency barrier (piece of plywood sheeting?).

Lastly, I have installed new fence posts to repair the preexisting chain link fence.

Next will be to reinforce the bases with some quick setting cement, so as to not allow water to accumulate at the bases, to prevent early rusting.Next step should be to install the top post poles, leading to the last steps of cutting the posts to final height, and installing the chain link fence itself, then being done.
