Brian and John in early 1965
This is from an interview with Ken Partridge, an interior decorator and a friend of Brian's. He did the decorating for Kenwood and also for Brian's house on Chapel Street....
When I was doing John Lennon's house sometimes I'd spend all day down there and occasionally John would say "how's Ep doing? I heard there was a party there and he didn't invite me." Then I'd come back to London in the evening and Brian would ring me to say, "What happened down there today? Did John talk about me?"
I'd say, "Well, matter of fact, no, he didn't mention you."
"Oh, that's odd."
He seemed to be rather jealous of the fact that I was down there.
