When I arrived at the track yesterday, I asked a Suzuki technician if I could flip the shift pattern on the bike I was scheduled to ride to a GP shift pattern (one up, five down). A voice behind me answered my question

We tried to talk him into riding passenger on Chris Ulrich's GSX=R1000. That got a few laughs out of him :)

Shit, now I'm thinking I should have ridden with Chris. Just so I could figure out a few of my problem areas on the track.

Chris had to make the point that he was faster than all of us two up - none of the faster journos had ridden there before!
