My job is soooo cool. Not too many people can say that, but I’m proud to admit that I get to experience a lot of things that are considered to be incredibly awesome… even from a sports fans perspective.
The Steelers battled the Tennessee Titans this afternoon in Pittsburgh. I basically had 3 responsibilities
1. I was in charge of sections 123, 124, 125 on the main concourse. I had to make sure people didn’t fight, get into arguments, help out with seat locations, answer questions and react to emergencies if necessary.
This was pretty cool because it allowed me to mingle with everyone and watch the game in a really good location. There were a few drunken scuffles and puke fests… but nothing really significant. I've come to the conclusion that my future wife will be obsessed with football! LOL! Not necessarily the Steelers, but football in general. THAT'S HOT!
2. I had to stand right next to the player entrance way for the Tennessee Titans… this is where all the football stars run out after they are announced. Steve McNair and his whole team sprinted right by me.
Man, every single time Pittsburgh does their introductions… I’m sooooo amped up on adrenalin that it literally brings me to tears. No, I’m not a homo… 65,000 people going absolutely bonkers gets me all emotional. Hahahaha
3. I sat right next to the end zone CBS camera. Honestly I didn’t do much of anything but watch the game in one of the closest seats ever. (I had to make sure that no one would bother the dude while he recorded.) When Polamalu grabbed that awesome interception in the endzone, I was right there. You probably can see me on TV!
Since I was directly in the stinkin sun for 9 hrs straight, I’m now sun burned like a biyatch! It doesn’t help that I’m required to wear black dress pants, black dress shoes and a polo shirt. Sheesh
I was impressed with Pittsburgh's performance last night and I hope that this is a sign for what's to come.
Final score: 34-7
