Six hours sounds kinda like both of you were enjoying yourselves, yes? If it was a kiss on the cheek with a meaningful squeeze of the arm I would lean towards the abovementioned 'taking things slowly' theory.

IMHO, way better to have a slow start and get to know the person, right or wrong, than fall into bed and find out they weren't right the next day...depends what you were looking for but someone said once that nothing good ever happens fast. Read Jane Austen :) :)
