It's been some time since I read a book from cover-to-cover in one go, but The Hunger Games was quite the page turner. It's devastatingly well written and even though I knew where it was going, it went there in a satisfying manner. Yes, I may have cried once or twice, because 1) sometimes I cry and 2) I think I was a bit overtired when I read it. In short, I'd recommend this YA book to anyone.

I was a little confused at the start because the cover has a picture of a boy on it, so naturally I assumed it was about a boy. Turns out no, Ben. Don't judge a book by its cover. That's one of the other characters. I don't know if there are two covers - one with the protagonist and one with the love interest - but it certainly threw me for a few pages.

I'll be interested to see how they adapt it for the screen. Oh yes, it is being adapted and already the fandom's interest is piqued, and already they're wondering who will fill the parts and how the narrative structure will fit. Interesting times.
