My boss has flown back to jolly old Engalund for four weeks to sort out his affairs. Before he left he had little one-on-one interviews with everyone. Basically, he said I'm very good at what I do, he sees me in an expanded role (utilising my design skills to work on the front-end design too) and that after this project is over I'll be paid more money and more creative control. All good says I.
This morning we were told that Alissa, our Flex developer, handed in her letter of resignation on Friday and would be leaving us in four weeks time. This is not good for a number of reasons. 1) It means that muggins here will be doing all the Flex design once she leaves 2) I've gotta learn Flex damn quickly 3) It stresses out the CMS guys who will be short-staffed and 4) I have a bit of a crush on her and I'll miss her when she's gone.
All good things must come to an end. Let the changes roll on.
