Absolutely. It's sorta only become popular over the past few years (to my knowledge). It's thinly sliced and cooked "blue", which means just give it a kiss of the pan.

Y'know, I've always wondered how they cook the food on the restaurant trams? Do they pick the meals up from restaurants along the way, or is it a 'heat & serve' pre-packaged kinda deal?

No, they actually cook it on the tram. I'm sure that the meals are as prepared as they can be beforehand though.

Don't think the camel is our national symbol though. The emu is on the coat of arms though, so I'm happy to go with that.

I haven't had emu either. I'm way behind on my consumption of Australia's native fauna. When we catch up for coffee you must tell me about all the other national symbols you ate in your travels. A frill-neck lizard perhaps?
