Ben's a busy boy and this is the reason for my slackness in posting. Really, there hasn't been too much going on which has been another reason for not posting. Well, nothing but work pissing me off and my head continuing to be a problem.
At the moment, my boss has me doing work for a pre-sale demo thing. I was in this morning - Saturday morning - doing stuff for a pre-pre-sale demo. For some reason, we've been selling ourselves as people who have a working prototype of something that'd map into their environment. Yeah, we don't. Thus, muchly with the working. It's tough working for something you don't believe in and my motivation is sooo low. How low?
In head-related activities, my middle ear problem is still with me some two weeks later. That's guaranteed to the the last time I go to see that doctor. Everyone else I've spoken to has said stuff about anti-biotics and all I was given was some anti-nausea stuff. Stupid old, humourless doctor.
Today, after escaping from the evil clutches of work, I was off to my uncle's 50th as celebrated by my grandparents. (There's a logic behind this that is too boring to explain.) So we were on the Melbourne Restaurant tramcar and I've gotta say that the novelty of this has kinda worn off (after just my second ride). The food wasn't as good as I remember and the view is kinda obscured by (admittedly quite spiffy) curtains. Well, it was all paid for, so I'll take it if it's given, but I think that a normal restaurant would probably be a better option.
I never saw it before now, but my uncle is a lot more comfortable in a pub with a beer than in a restaurant with a wine. Eating the kangaroo was quite the struggle. (When I loudly proclaimed that if I were American I'd eat a bald eagle, the entire carriage went quiet. This amused me no end.) Next weekend is my uncle's actual 50th birthday party in the far more comfortable environment of a backyard party.
