Why is it that people who pre-anticipate when the lights will change to green - just touching the car forward a little before realising they're too early - have the reaction speed of a slug when the lights do actually change? Do they figger two wrongs make a right and so not reacting now makes up for reacting earlier?
There's a law of averages for people with fast cars too. They've absolutely no reaction speed at the lights. You could sit behind them for an hour while the traffic either side moves on past. But then - then! - they accelerate at a great rate and catch up to those cars now travelling at the speed limit. Meanwhile, you've made it to 20km/h.
Tonight's netball score: 39 to 4. A little one sided in our favour. We have a new girl on the team and I'm being upstaged because a) she's a lot better looking than I am and b) she can also pass the ball quite reasonably. Alas, I canne remember her name. I really should find a method for remembering names. Any suggestions?
