But this tiger was kept on a farm I believe and not as a household pet. The area is rural, with a lot of game farms, irrigation farms and informal settlements around. There are some breeding schemes in South Africa where tigers are bred in captivity mainly to be introduced back into Asia where the species is endangered - but Panjo seems to be an illegal.

Come to that, is it illegal but some people do it anyway?
Obviously I hope nobody gets harmed, but I also hope that the tiger doesn't either!
