JOZI - MY CITY, MY HOME # 4

May 03, 2009 09:28

I went to the organic market at the Bamboo Centre in Melville yesterday. Bought some free range pork chops (Swine flu? What swine flu) and fair trade Rwandan Kiva coffee. The chops come from the Dargle Valley in the Kwazulu Natal Midlands and there is a huge difference in taste from those one buys from the supermarket or the local butchery.

There is a lot to be said in favour of organic farming and "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" of Barbara Kingsolver is a good book to read on this subject.

Took some photographs of street art in Melville. These are so good that one can frame it!

REST IN PEACE DEVIOUS PROPHET?  Who would the prophet be?

....And then this cute little devil.

Grafitti defaces this city. But this is street art and not grafitti at all.
