Ubuntu / Pidgin question

Dec 09, 2010 03:32

Ok, so I've got my shiny Ubuntu 10.10 box running. I didn't care too much for "Empathy", the included chat client. (No features, no OTR, no go.)

So I installed Pidgin and pretty much all of its plugins. Everything seems to work. There's just one thing that drives me nuts: It pops up some sort of "notification" box that hovers in the upper right corner of my primary monitor whenever a friend logs in or out, or in certain other circumstances.

I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Anyone here know how?
