Chicken Fries Are What I Need!!!!
As far as a corporate advertising campaign goes, Burger King's rediculous yet addictive chicken fries commercials with the fictional band Coq Roq is actually quite effective. I'm totally finding myself craving the chicken fries, and I've never even had them...I suppose that makes it more of a urging me to try them sort of thing...I don't know, either way, sad to say, the mp3s of this fictional band's songs are actually kind of cool. Especially 'Cross The Road'. Even though they are just silly advertisements for a fast food restaurant, the songs kick ass! If you were to replace the lyrics about Chicken Fries and shit with some actual rockin' lyrics, this band would be some good stuff.
In other music concerns: Tommorow Iron Maiden will be releasing their newest live album, 'Death on the Road', for those of you who care: It is a two-disc show recorded during their tour of the same name in promotion of their latest album, 2003's 'Dance of Death', which kicks ass, by the way.
And I also plan on buying Doug's band's CD when I get paid later this week. You gotta support your friends; I heard the 'Doomsday's Coming' song off of their website. Pretty cool; Reminds me of Pantera, a bit more mellow than Pantera, though. Anselmo's voice is more like a bobcat growling.......anyway, point being I'm going to get that, and probably some more Maiden or Priest CDs...damn bands, why do they have to be so good that I have to buy their entire monstrous back catalogue?
That was a lot of rambling no one cares to hear about, so I'm done and off to go get some Chicken Fries...
