Still more water
Okay, the mildew blooms became apparent after they shampooed the rug. Ick. Called the guys out again and had them rip up the great room rug to find lots of damp concrete and stained padding. (So that's the low point in the apt.) The carpet itself was slightly stained but free of apparent mildew but the icky pad got tossed out the back door. X-14 goes over everything but at least that part of the great room can be assembled again by mid-week.
Weezel expressed interest in my damaged bookcases, mentioning a circular saw lovingly. (Something to be said for chicks with power tools.) The big one is going to go out this weekend one way or the other. I'd still like to try and save my glass front one but I noticed a big patch of ick on it's base that I don't know whether or not I can clean off. I caught a lungful of bleach last night cleaning off the TV stand in an attempt to save it. Throat feels pretty raw this morning.
