Early this morning at 12:15am, I was watching the Election coverage on CBC Newsworld. At the time the projected electoral votes were BUSH: 237, KERRY: 207. I decided to check CNN (ugh, I’m jut glad we don’t get FOX news) and their projections read BUSH: 234, KERRY: 188. Yes, these results are only projection sand not final but I thought it was funny how CNN was in no hurry to update the projected states that Kerry was undoubtedly going to take until every last ballot was counted but on the other hand were quick in giving every projected win to Bush, as soon as they could. At 12:28 am, both CBC and NBC had these projections; BUSH: 246, KERRY: 207. Back at CNN, BUSH: 246 while KERRY was still at 188 an hour after other, more reputable networks had updated Kerry’s projections at least twice. This is no coincidence. I’m sure CNN was told to hold back updating Kerry’s total to neutralize any hopes that Kerry had a fighting chance. They knew that even though every ballot wouldn’t be counted until later this week (at the earliest) that they wanted their viewers to turn in at night seeing that Kerry was being annihilated. For those who stayed up later, the GOP decided to claim victory in Ohio and thus an Election win long before every vote was counted. Long before they started counting absentee and overseas ballots. Why can't they just cool it until every ballot is counted? With a system so flawed and only made worse by the introduction of touch screen voting, challenging and turning away legal voters, and who knows what other tampering has gone on, can't they wait until every ballot is counted?
There are too many deceitful tricks that went on with this election to cover here. It’s just disheartening when those who are so obviously evil get away with anything they want. If there is any justice in the US, every last member of Bush’s administration would be behind bars, because that’s where these criminals belong.
P.S. seeing people in Florida holding signs outside of voting stations that read, “KKKerry” just goes to show how informed Republican voters can be. Is there any question which party really upholds the ideals of the KKK?
