well it looks like yesterdays gel ran about as well as can be expected. it may yield some info, it may not. it currently sits in destain.
got an update on the siblings displaced by the hurricane.
my brother left lafayette for kentucky where he will be working for about a month.
my sister and her fiance managed to get back into new orleans to check on things. their home held up pretty well, their shed blew away, a little damage to their roof and a few broken windows with some accompanying water damage, but all in all very lucky.
my brothers place in jefferson parish was pretty much unharmed. and the camp on the levy lost its porch and also suffered some roof damage, but all in all they were very very lucky.
my sister may accept a job transfer to baton rouge, or may head back to detroit. my brothers not really sure what will happen after kentucky as he no longer has a job in nola to go back to. he may also head back to detroit.
things are very up in the air, but it could have been so so much worse.
i still havnt heard about the wrench or jj, i know they stayed in the city, but as far as i know they havnt been in touch with my siblings. with the forced evacuation thinger im not really sure. hopefully there will be word soon. i know the wrench also was in jefferson parish so hopefully they are well.
