FUCK ZERO TOLERENCE
so kyle, kara and i have been going to the reggae fest in seattle for the past couple of nights. great shows, wednesday we saw alpha blondi and thursday night was israel vibration. and last night for the finally was the wailers, can you believe it, bob marleys old band was playing in a tiny ass club in ballard and we would have gotten to see them for free, only we didnt. i got to the house and kyle and kara had been drinking already, stephanie was on her way over so we all planned on riding with her, so when they offer me a beer i felt that since i wasnt driving there would be no problem. we waited around for steph for a while until it got to be too late. considering i had only had half a beer i felt i was ok to drive. we got one block from the house on interurban and a cop got right on my ass and pulled me over because of my fog lights. (my god damn fog lights, can you belive that?) he immediatly smelt beer in the car because my passengers had been drinking. right from the start he was an asshole, yelling and arguing and trying to catch me in a lie even though i was completly honest from the begining. he pulled me out and did some drunk tests on me, after which he determined i was at about a .05, which is under the legal limit if only your over 21. after the tests he calmed down and gave me the speech about drinking and driving and how i was throwing my life away, to which i played along by bowing my head and apologizing while my heart was pounding thinking i was gonna get a DUI. he went back to the car and asked if anyone was sober enough to drive home, they werent. after that the cop had me follow him to a gas station where i parked my car. he then called my mom to come and get us before he took off without writing me a ticket or taking me to jail. so i missed probably the greatest show ever, but thank god i didnt get a DUI. from now on i will never drink and drive again.
