Dora and the Undiscovered Country

Empty out my pack, and loosen the straps --
where I'm going I don't need no stinkin' maps --
return the compass to where I bought her,
pick a direction, and walk until I'm underwater!

I will fare the sea,
breathe in deep, and count to three.
I will finally be
like all my brothers before me.

Life's not as bright, as when we were eight,
there's no use saying apologies we can't translate.
Outside our backyard is a den of vipers
and human beings aren't as black and white as saints and swipers.

I will fare the sea,
breathe in deep, and count to three.
I will finally be
like all my brothers before me.

Come fill my lungs
make slack my foreign tongue
Pull me from my mooring
Let's go exploring.

My childhood friends are reunited,
I don't mind the darkness, I've always been a bit nearsighted.
When I find my peace from where you hid it
My soul will crawl from out my mouth and swim to you and sing "We did it."

I will fare the sea,
breathe in deep, and count to three.
I will finally be
like all my brothers

I will fare the sea,
breathe in deep, and count to three.
I will finally be
like all my brothers before me.
