roughing it
We were blindsided by an October snowstorm. There are power lines and trees down everywhere. I've been without electricity since Saturday afternoon. I probably won't have my power restored until Thursday at the earliest. My area was hit really hard. I'm sitting in front of the woodstove in almost total darkness. I'm just thankful I have that. Over $200 worth of food has gone bad and must be thrown out. A huge old oak tree came down on my neighbors house and crushed it like a paper cup. I've never been a part of this kind of devastation. Still and all I count my blessings. I guess it could always be worse.
