*waves* I'm still alive! It's been a long time posting here, life has been busy and I spend my free moments catching up on dramas /bricked.
Kamiki-kun has turned 19!Ignoring the fact that the 19th is over.. *throws confetti* I did want to do some super huge mega translation posts, but unfortunately life and laziness got in my way. Happy belated birthday to

hayashi_niko! Sorry if I missed out anyone previously, it's definitely not on purpose.
Many many thanks to the people at Kamiki's Baidu thread!
Chinese translation here. Bigger scans here too. Disclaimer: Kindly read with a pinch of salt. More translators are always welcome!
I tend to translate too liberally at times, and too literally other times. As said earlier, pinch of salt is necessary.
2010.05.15 B-PASS別冊 「awesome!」 (for Arthur)
Wanting to broaden acting roles when becoming older
Hoping to experience different types of lives that hewould not have been able to in his real life.
Having joined the entertainment circle since young, Kamiki Ryunosuke grew up amongst adults. He already has a wide range of acting skills, but in reality he gives people a feeling of a humble and approachable person. This can be felt from his mild expression. Still remembered his dubbing for the 2007 movie "Arthur and the Invisibles", now 3 years have passed, in the sequel "Arthur and the Revenge of Malthazard" which will be shown soon, he continues to be Arthur's voice. Here he will talk about this role, how he performed it after becoming a youth, as well as his personal growth.
-How do you feel performing a character that you had played 3 years ago?
In the first installment I was in first year middle school, now I'm in my first year of high school, the difference is huge. Like me, Freddie (Highmore) who portrays Arthur has grown up too, it was hard to grasp the feel of the voice and balance of the atmosphere, that was not easy to get hold of. In the process of acting it slowly became more natural, perhaps this is the hardest piece of work I've encountered so far.
-This time there are a lot of screaming scenes right.
Yes. Furthermore, screaming and yelling or acting anxious by myself in the recording studio uses quite a lot of energy (laughs). In front of me is the mike stand, behind is the glass window. When I look behind after yelling "Waa", the director and manager are all looking at me seriously (laughs). This kind of situation is hard to adapt to, I could only nod tentatively. While recalling those times I still feel quite embarrassed (laughs).
-Compared to the previous film 3 years ago, Arthur has matured visibly in terms of his feelings in protecting others and thoughts, in what areas do Kamiki-kun think he has matured in these 3 years?
I can think through things calmly on a certain level. 3 years ago my mindset was like an elementary school student's, and I was also greatly influenced by the friends I met. After entering middle school, I met a lot of people who have different ways of thinking, my way of understanding things have broadened at once. Another area is with regards to school, I've started studying seriously (laughs).
-You have not studied seriously before?
Ahaha (laughs). Perhaps. In middle school I really hated exams, it was really depressing. But I've matured now, and still recognised the importance of studying, right now I can positively face the subjects I'm not good at. About this, I feel that my way of thinking about acting is the same.
-What has it changed into?
I will think more deeply about the role. Previously I will grasp the character's personality and mentality by reading the script, and act it out afterwards. Not it's not only that, I will take a step further and reflect on what the character is thinking about while speaking.
-This way, won't you frequently become influenced by the character?
I don't think there will be such a big influence, or to put it in another way, I can distinguish clearly between the role and reality. Perhaps it's because I do not rely too much on others after becoming a high school student, and started recognising that there are some things I have to do on my own.
-Now it should be period of rapid growth. What do you think of a strong girl like Selenia in the movie as a love interest?
I think that's really good, she can spur me on. When you are lost and confused, having someone who can push you from behind is a very fortunate thing. But it's better not to be just extremely strong; there should be a gentle side. Gentleness can move people's hearts. Thus I can easily understand the protagonist Arthur's feelings of love towards Selenia (laughs).
-Ahaha (laughs). Unable to resist the contrast. What contrast does Kamiki-kun have?
My friend says that my glare is very scary, but I've never felt that I had glared at anyone (laughs). When this friend was around, a surprising thing had just happened. It seems like my serious expression that time made others feel scared (laughs). I won't usually get angry or impatient, so being told this was surprising to me (laughs).
-Not getting angry comes from Kamiki-kun's own optimism?
Perhaps that is the reason. Firstly, I've not felt that it was hard even in the middle of work. That's because the joy is even greater. While filming "The Great Yokai Wars", there was a scene where I had to submerge in waters 3meters deep, and at that time I did not know how to swim, so it was very painful. But I managed to overcome it by borrowing the actor's perseverance, even though my nose had never gone through so much pain before. But it is because of this that I am not scared of water anymore, I guess it can be considered one of my growths. This is also an opportunity I had because I am an actor. If I have this line of thinking, maybe I won't feel that it's hard. Furthermore I can change my mood around, and the times where I am confused had lessened.
-How do you change your mood?
Before shooting light and happy scenes I will match by listening to cheerful songs. Recently I like listening to flumpool's "What's flumpool!?". I can perk up after listening to that. Other songs that I listen to often are Fukuyama Masaharu's "Zankyou" and Mr Children's "SUPERMARKET FANTASY". Basically I like listening to lighthearted popular music. Music can really adjust a person's emotions, it's a good thing. I often go to the lives of the bands I like. Although it's a different genre from acting, but it can make people feel touched, so I like it very much.
-What other roles do you want to act?
I want to act in a great love story*. Previously in "Little DJ" I had experienced it a little, but in that movie the elements of human nature are portrayed more than love, so next time I want to act in a love story that will make people feel embarrassed (laughs) Other than that I also want to try a delinquent role. I want to broaden acting roles when becoming older, hoping to experience different types of lives that I would not have been able to in my real life.

*Kind of like a... earth shattering type of romance. Can't think of an appropriate term to phrase it!
Some of the things he said (regarding acting) was quite confusing too, so I just tried to stick as close to the original translation as possible.
Also, the part about having a contrast, I think they are talking about "gap" (gyappu) but since I have no original text to check so I used 'contrast' (since that's the meaning).
So for my thoughts on this article It's been some time since I posted, so I somehow feel like typing lot..
Being able to say stuff like "I was able to experience this and that because I have this so it's always fun" at the age of 17, he has a rather mature side (or maybe I'm childish? I don't think I was that grateful of my life at 17 lol!) which makes me all warm and happy inside.
And if Kamiki stares at me with a serious expression, I will probably be quite scared too..
