spring break and photos

well spring break was last week and it was quite good. my family took a trip down to the florida keys. it was relaxing and was incredibly beautiful. the water was just full of the most amazing colors and the sunsets were awesome. i've been sitting on my computer going through pictures, and i realize again just how beautiful it all was (see pictures on facebook and hopefully soon on flickr).
also i'm remembering how much joy i get in taking pictures. i dont know why, but its just stinkin awesome. last night at worship i got to talking with a friend about our spring breaks. she mentioned that she had seen my pictures and made some comment about how i was a really good photographer. but honestly its not me that made those pictures any good. its not my handiwork that i'm taking pictures of. my art is depended on a greater Artist's work. all i can try and do is capture a small piece of the magnificence He creates and displays for all to see. i feel blessed to be able to see Him in the sky, the water, animals, plants, etc. and hope that by using a camera i can help show Him and His glory to others.

in other news Easter was yesterday--happy (belated) Easter! and i'll have to make a post about it later. despite being a crazily busy day, it again proved to be another special day
