Parker was staring at the phone, willing it to ring. If Jarod called her, she didn't have to call him. And that would make her less pissed off, and less the injured party.
Ring, damn you.
So last Thursday night she found out from
Bridge that Xander's home dimension was now cut off from all outside dimensions. For at least six years. Which sucked. She was still sending him
e-mail and
calling him, though, because damnit, maybe one of them would get through, and he deserved to know they hadn't forgotten him. Bridge was handling the break-up a lot better than she would, but he was still down, poor guy. Which was the only reason she'd watched Galaxy Quest with him. really.
Friday had been memorable for the first meeting of
Teal Dear - the name and spelling agreed on by the band. Talks with Chad, Agnes, Nadia, Zero, Pippi had been *very* encouraging, and she'd spent time off and on all week working on the band's website. Hopefully it would be up by Tuesday.
She'd done nothing much of anything, Saturday, but Sunday she'd had
time with Jarod. And maybe, possibly, preliminary plans for the summer after Graduation. God, she hoped so.
Interstellar Relations had been interesting on Monday, but
visiting River in the clinic had been more memorable.
Biology on Tuesday, and a
chat with Aeryn plus time at the
Gun Range where she'd talked to Pete Hutter (yikes), Pippi (who'd been in an odd mood, for Pippi), Luke Skywalker (yay, torment! Yay, blasters!) and Jack (much conversation, as per usual for them.) Afterward, she'd
told the administration about River's request for her brother, and left the situation in their hands. Hopefully, it would work out okay for her.
Wednesday had been punctuated by clandestinely joining the Damn the Man Club after she
signed Blair's cast, and going on a shopping trip for drums on the mainland
with Pippi, who was still shook up about River. When she got back, she'd placed a
phone call to Angel with Isabel, ended up glad Cal was in L.A. and not Greece, and horrified that he'd let her stay indefinitely. Gaahhhh. That was going to get someone killed, in her opinion.
Isabel agreed, but they knew there wasn't much they could do about it. She'd told
Bridge in an effort to cheer him up again, (then listened to BNL's newest CD) and then
called Cal, who still hadn't called her back yet. Wench.
Thursday was another lazy day largely spent with Jarod, although she did meet
Lavendar and Mac in the Common Room, and talked to Weiss again. Nowhere near as interesting as her trip with Zack Addy to Theodoric of York's
Spa the next day. The sound of Zack yelling about smelling like Thanksgiving dinner made up a *lot* for that damn alarm clock.
Yesterday there'd been the fun trip to the Alexandria
Pet Store with Jack, Isabel and Carter, and then schmoozing in the 4th Floor Common Room with
Cally,
Bridge, Peter, Isabel and Bel,
Z and
Alanna.
Which had also included talking to
Mac again, during which conversation she found out that Jarod had been at the speed-dating thing at Caritas last night. Probably at GOB's behest.
She'd deal with him later. If it weren't for Teal Dear, she would have already, but she had a feeling Zero's music would get most of her revenge for her.
Right now? If Jarod didn't call damn soon... she was waking him up and demanding some answers.
Annnnnny second.
Yeah.
.... She finally gave up, and dialed.
*ring*
