MPizzablog 02/14/09 Old Town Pizza cheese and pepperoni thin crust Chicago party style cut. Crust is 3/16" thick on the ends and is dry and crunchy like a cracker. The rest is smooth and stiff & plain. The cheese is 1/8th" to 3/8th" thick & the pizza is 7/16" at its thickest part in the middle. The cheese & the sauce are slightly seasoned with oregano. The pepperoni sits underneath the cheese. It has a very pleasant cheese & dough smell to it & the tomato sauce has a very cooked flavor to it. However, the cheese seems to be a bit lumpy in the center area, either a sign of a pizza that didn't cook long enough, the oven wasn't hot enough or it's really fresh or old cheese. The plus with Old Town Pizza is they always put a lot of cheese on it. Definitely one of the favorites & one of the thicker thin crust pizzas.
Also included is a Chicago Blackhawks cap. Hawks are home playing the Dallas Stars tonight and currently lead 1-0 during the 1st intermission. Go Hawks!
