I'm in a good mood...
Man, saturday night was one of the best feelings I've ever had. I don't know if I've ever been so proud of anyone. When we stepped out on the field to compete, and this may sound dorky so if you don't know marching band you may not understand any of this, I felt the lights hit me and I felt like I was part of something. and I was better as part of that band then I was by myself. and I stepped up. I think we all did. I stood 6 feet tall. (which may not be a big deal for some of you, but for me it was a stretch) and I played the best I've ever played and I marched the best I ever marched and I felt perfect. and when I heard our names called out for GRAND CHAMPIONS!!! I've never been more proud. and Stiles gave us that speech and we marched into this huge circle and we all screamed and yelled and we knew we did awesome. and everyone was smiling. and I think that deserves to be one of the best memories ever. October 2, 2004. GRAND FREAKIN CHAMPIONS.
