I had this inspiration to write. this afternoon I was done with a test in french and I was just watching people and it really inspired me to write. but first i really have to tell you about my evening. I had the most perfect moment. I don't know if you know what a perfect moment feels like but I'll try to describe it. Its when you're drivin down the road with all the windows down and the weather is just perfect. so I mean you have to stick your arm out the window because feeling the wind blow it makes everything better. and then the best song ever comes on and it makes you smile even bigger behind your sunglasses. and you don't mind being stopped by every stop light and you don't mind that people stare when you sing along at the top of your lungs. and then at the last stop light this nice man waves at you from his porch as if you're one of his friends he hasn't seen in ages. and it makes you cry a little because you know that moment is perfect. it was nice. anyways, now to my people watching.
"I don't think movies do any justice to what high school is really like because in the movies it never shows the whole scope of things. everything is so stereotypical.everyone is just a face and a general statement. But in reality the popular girl is never actually perfect, or loved by everyone. or even hated by everyone. The quintessential cheerleader doesn't always date the handsome quarterback. who by the way, isn't always handsome. And the odd boy who stares at his shoes when he walks and wonders what a first kiss feels like isn't alone and friendless. he laughs and jokes with his friends like everyone else. the smart one isn't always an ugly nerd with bad skin. the girl in the corner who draws horses all day and wears black all the time isn't thinking about suicide. or drugs even. The successful are not always marked by pocket-protectors and thick glasses. The boy who wears his pants at his knees and keeps his hair in tiny little braids wasn't out on a streetcorner last night, and he's not in a gang. he doesn't smoke anything, or sell anything even. and the so-called troubled ones don't go running to the school counselors with their problems and get cured. because these people are real. the movies couldn't even show all their greatness. this is my world with real people. who have names and lives. and I think I'm really lucky to live in it."
