I am so royally screwed. How, you ask? Well, it's like this: I got an incredibly shitty draw number, and as a consequence, was waitlisted in all of my classes for next semester, save one. Go to the head of the department. Talk to the people who are in charge of the classes you are going into. Make a stink.

What is your major, btw?

Neuroscience. And Russian if I can meet the requirements of both.

I already emailed one professor, but he has yet to email me back about one class, and I'm apparently #1 on the waitlist for the other two, so it's not completely hopeless, but I am oh, so slightly obsessive, and anal (no butt-sex jokes!), and I don't think I can survive the uncertainty for the four months before classes start.

Dude, telling the gay guy that he can't make a butt-sex is joke is like...is like...is like telling you not to stop taking it in the tush!

Oh, and as for a bit of hope...generally speaking, being number one on the wait list is just as good as being in the class.

Yah, I don't know what your school is like, but at all three schools I've ever attended I've been able to get into every class I've ever waitlisted. Just beg the teachers.

Man, if I hadn'tve already done dropped my ass out of kollege years ago I'd be working towards an inklin' of what you just done spoke about in that there whiny-ass paragraph thingy. They's always hirin' at the Mac Donald's.

Seriously, though, I know how you feel. Everybody else has good advice: just make a stink, beat some doors down, do what you can to get to talk to somebody that can at least pretend like they're in charge.
