On Vox: BKK trip Oct 2008- Day 2

Nov 22, 2008 22:14

The next day saw us, the whole gang, at Platinum mall. The place is filled with distributors for all sorts of wearables and bags. I even saw Threadless fakes being sold there. Ended up we bought a few Tees for Alex and nothing for ourselves. We bought more things for him than ourselves. Parenthood is selfless...

We all had lunch at the Plat. mall food court. It's pretty big and there's a lot of people even though we went after lunch hour. Guess the mall is popular with the locals too. One of my must-haves in BKK is their braised trotters rice. Generally any food court will serve this dish and taste good too.

Next on the agenda, we went to Emporium (Phrom Phong area) to window shop... But we really went there so that the ladies could go for a massage at a spa nearby while the men look after the babies! Wish I had the time to do a full spal, but I have to do my milk cow duty. Still I had a very good massage at AHA, the spa.

We settled for dinner at Kalapapruek at the mall, coz it was raining and had to give Som Boon a miss. The food here is good! We also couldn't make it to Suan Lum night bazzar coz by the time we finished dinner, it was Alex's bed time. The bugger didn't nap much during the day AND throughout the trip, so when the Z monster conquers him, we have to let him sleep.
