an update of sorts and not a good one either
IN June, I've had more problems going on than I thought. While I was in the hospital for heart trouble, they discovered that my thyroid is running too fast (hyperthyroidism)and referred me to an endocrine doc. After my insurance approved the referral, I went to see Dr. Oscar Fonseca. He had me do the 2 day thyroid uptake/scan and the result was astonishing. I was immediately told I had to see my endocrine doc at his office across the street from the hosp. The doc told me I had 2 options and suggested he highly recommended me get the first option... a surgery that removes my thyroid gland. I asked what the 2nd option was, he said the radioactive therapy. I chose the 2nd one. It was a weird procedure... I had to take a radiation pill. The doc and techs were dressed in a full-out radiation protective gear. The treatment was called Radioactive therapy 131-a I think.
As of the past 2 weeks, my liver has gotten worse. I have been on treatment for it with this medicine called Lactulose. But, this past 2 weeks I've completely lost the brown pigmentation in my feces. I have the yellowish hue with pale grayish/white stool w/ complete abdominal pain/discomfort/cramping with the urgency to pass stool as one would when one have diarrhea. The diarrhea w/ yellowish hue and pale gray stool is troublesome. I just called my doc and the her nurse indicated that it is indeed very bad and will have my doc call me back asap. Currently I'm awaiting her call back. I really think my liver is giving out. :-(
I'm very worried.
On another topic, my cousin have been having a lot of heart trouble again. She was born with heart defect and had multiple heart surgeries. She wasn't supposed to have kids, but last year she accidently got pregnant. We and her doc were worried this pregnancy will kill her, but she came through. After a few months after the baby's birth, her heart started having trouble again after 12 yrs of stable heart. Currently, she's in the hospital at Memorial Hermann downtown, which I may be going there if my doc states I need to go in.
This year is a horrible year for a lot of people, including my family. I've lost 3 people, my dad went into kidney failure, my cousin's health is not faring well, and my health has gotten progressively worse. Not to include MJ and Farrett's death too. What is this, death year??? I'm worried.
