1. Watched last week's Agents of SHIELD this morning (yes, I'm just that slow). Promising stuff for the future, and I like how there's no easy path back for anyone. It's painful, but it's Marvel, and I love it: they do, in fact, rock the angst.
Which doesn't negate that there might very well be a fix for any or all of the angst in the future, near or far.
2. Here's where I admit something: I've never seen Pumpkinhead until last weekend. Failing in my horror back-catalog! Then, of course,
feochadn decided to fix this oversight, so we enjoyed a nice horrorific time with near-baby-Lance Henricksen and crew.
It's aged remarkably well, clothing and hair mishaps aside, which can be said for all 70s and 80s horror. (Oh, the Hammer pants with wide belts and artfully ripped midrif-bearing tops!) What cracked me up, though, was how much of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil was directly related to it. They were riffing on a lot of evil-hillbillie-horror, but there it almost all was, right there!
(P.S.--If you have not seen Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, I do recommend it. It's a hilarious horror movie spoof that is surprisingly charming, as well. The hillbillies are the heroes.)
3. I was horrible and bought an army of
Deadpool Minimates, because I am a gigantic geek. I am sorry, I could not resist Cable-pool (with the hair!), and
feochadn is an enabler. They now surround Coulson on top of my work CPU and likely confuse everyone. But they make me smile.
