Upon feeling someone move from the bed, Jo made a soft noise as hands reached out, trying to grab at something to hold onto. A warm body. Or a pillow.
The pillow only held her sleep for a couple more minutes until it wasn't enough. She took in a deep breath, rolling onto her back to look at the ceiling. Which she knew wasn't that of the bar or her room. She squinted at it for a moment, trying to go through memories of the night before. Nothing was really clicking.
Pulling at the sheets, she felt metal on her left ring finger. She lifted that hand above her face, eyes suddenly wide and Jo quickly sitting up, glancing around the room that looked like a honeymoon suite and then staring at her hand.
"Oh my god!" Yes, she screamed that as hands quickly made sure none of her naked body was showing because sadly, she couldn't remember who the hell she was now married to.
The screech of horror was enough to confirm for Ric that yes. Jo was awake. Ducking back into the bathroom Ric cursed and swore to himself as is twas pretty clear that she was not too happy either. Ric hadn't really realised until he had gotten into the bathroom that all his clothes were still in the bedroom and that was currently where a rather potentially irrate woman was now waiting.
Squaring his shoulders and resigning himself to the that that he really did have to go out there and face Jo Ric sighed and banged his head against the wall three times for good measure. Grabbing a rather plush bathrobe off of the back of the door Ric stepped out into the bedroom and offered an awkward wave.
"Morning?" Almost automatically Ric found himself fiddling with the ring around his finger, unable to resist the urge to twist it this way and that as he watched Jo with a steady, dark brown, wide eyed gaze. "... sleep well?"
Jo's eyes instantly dart at the voice, which was Ric. Oh dear god. She married a man she barely knew. A man she knew absolutely nothing about. But she knew enough to not instantly accuse him of drugging her.
She stared at him for what seemed like forever. And.. did he seriously just ask her how she slept? Well, she did feel rested, but that wasn't the point! No, the only major and defining point at the moment that Ric was now her husband. Oh, that made her stomach turn and she groaned.
Pulling the sheets free from the bed so she could stand, she wrapped them tightly around herself, still keeping her distance for the moment. "I.. guess I slept alright. I mean.. yeah. We.. we aren't really married, are we? Because I don't remember a damn thing." As she spoke, there was a small thought in the back of her head that said maybe, just maybe, this wasn't the most horrible thing. Okay, well yeah it was pretty damn bad, but at least she liked him? Though, you're suppose to do more than like your husband.
