So, he did what any reasonable person would do in this situation. He broke into her house and brought booze. And catnip.
Because Ow and Dee deserved some fun too.

He was relaxing on the couch, Dee in lap and Ow chewing on one of his gloves, with a beer in hand.
"See that man right there? That's Mike Rowe. He doesn't know a dirty job until he's had to hunt down rogue HYDRA agents and stumble on them in the middle of making a bomb and do you know how difficult it is to get all that spatter out of clothing? Not to mention the trouble it caused when trying to board a plane." He took a long sip of the beer. "Another reason to never go to the Netherlands. Always ends with me having to get a new costume."
Dee just mewed for more petting and Ow attacked his foot with a renewed vigor.
"Ow."
