I had applied for FLAS for the summer so I could take second year Thai and then start third year in the fall, but I didn't get it so I can't afford to attend the summer program at all. Like, even if I could pay the reasonable $3000 for the tuition, I wouldn't be able to work enough to support myself while doing all the work for the class. This kind of ruins my whole academic plan and to be honest I just don't even really care about this degree right now.
My favorite part of the FLAS decisions email I got was where it said "your academic department might have summer funds available to cover the cost of tuition." LOL ASS CLOWNS YOU ARE MY ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT.
