Happy Memorial Day

May 28, 2007 09:31

Today is a day to remember all veterans of foreign wars who have passed on. My father was a WWII vet, and I remember him every day, but today I will think about the contribution he and the other young men of his generation made not just to our country, but the world. They truly were "The Greatest Generation". I ask that everyone, regardless of ( Read more... )

Funny, but I haven't seen wallpapers for the Deal before. It's an amazing episode and Ray is just great in it.

I know what you mean. I still enjoy receiving comments and discuss things through LJ.

I love The Deal! I adore Ray, so The Deal is one of my all time favorite episodes. He was wonderful in it, so alpha. Hee.

I have a website for my due South wallpapers here Since I like The Deal so much, I've made several from that episode. If you'd like to see them, here are the direct urls to the other 2 I've done:

Deal 2

Deal 1

I have lots of walls, mostly episode related. I'm trying to work my way through all the episodes as time allows.

Thanks for friending me! I love this LJ thing. :)

I adore Ray too. The Deal is one of my favourite episodes, DM shines there.

Wow! I remember, I have seen your website, but I never took a closer look. I was looking for some particular information and just skipped it.
Your site is wonderful - so many nice wallpapers! I checked DM page - the first one is so cute! Now I'm having a good time, looking at other wallpapers.

I make DS collages myself, although I can't make pictures, using many graphics effects. But well, I'm learning. :-)

Thank you so much for your kind comments on my site and the wallpapers therein! I spend a lot of time on both, and kind comments are always appreciated. I hope that you find something (or a lot of somethings!) there that appeal to you. Take as much as you like! Hee.

I would love to see your collages. Do you have a website, or are they on your LJ? You have some very nice screen caps/pictures on your LJ. I looked at your LJ, but unfortunately I can't read it. I am a living embodiment of the old joke - someone who speaks three languages is trilingual, someone who speaks two is bilingual, and someone who speaks only one is an American. Hee. What graphics program do you use? I use Paint Shop Pro, which is an inexpensive, very powerful program that is quite easy to learn.

I found a lot of pictures I really liked. Do you mind if post some of the wallpapers in my LJ? Providing a link to your journal or website, of course ( ... )

Absolutely you can post any of my walls to your LJ that you like with credit and a link, preferably to my website, since that's where most of the walls are - I only have a few posted to my LJ. Thank you for asking ( ... )

Great! *stares at "David Marciano" wallpaper*.

Hee! Glad you liked it!

Some of my vids are set on songs in Russian.

I think I've seen them over on YouTube. Are you Scally over there too?

(Hmmm... is it possible to say "set on" in this case? I'm not sure again and I'm too lazy to pick up my English dictionary).

I think "set TO" would be more grammatrically correct, but I knew what you meant. :)

I'm glad you liked my collages. The picture with Ray was made specially for Christmas.

It's very nice!

I'll try to get Paint Shop Pro, I like new programs, it's interesting to try some new graphics techniques. Thanks for the link! I read the description and it seems the program will work on my computer, although my PC in not quite modern.

Have you had a chance to try it out yet?

It's so kind of you to offer me your help! probably, I will need it. Thank you very kindly! :-)

You're very welcome. I have selfish motives, there can never be too much F/V art, IMO.

I'm quite busy now, so I'll try it a little bit later. I'm going to ( ... )

Yes, it's me. The world is small. :-)

Hee, yes thanks to the net it has certainly become so.

>Have you had a chance to try it out yet?

I have, there is my very first attemp to make collages in the new program - http://users.livejournal.com/_scally/172203.html.

Very nice! Which version are you using?

I used this tutorial - http://www.pinoy7.com/psptutorials/photomanipulation.shtml, and it helped me a lot,

That's a great site. When I was starting out, I used Pinoy a lot. I have TONS of links to PSP tutorials, if you'd like, I can hook you up with some that helped me. A good one to start with would be PSP links . It has a huge number of links to all kinds of effects. However, it was joining an art list that helped me the most. I've been so blessed to have received so much help from artists much more talented than I that I want to spread the joy, so to speak.

but I still have some ( ... )
