Noor is a a well educated alien lad who just wanted to travel a bit and have some fun and adventure. But travel and fun are pretty hard to come by in an off world prison-gulag, and the adventure is pretty questionable as well. Unfortunately, he didn't learn some very important life lessons in college, like how to not get sent to prison for accidentally desecrating sacred relics on foreign planets... or how to not drop the soap in the communal prison shower. Those plump lips and that pert rear end are not helping anything.
