So I've been telling myself to do this forever and never got around to it. But today that ends. I'm going to start tracking certain things every day....or at least try to. I may add more things each day or whatever, but this will give me the ability to graphically watch my process over time. I was thinking about putting my updates on here so that people will keep me honest. See, if I do something in the public domain then I've got that whole performance thing added. Basically if I fall off and start gaining weight then it'll be public knowledge and that will help motivate me to continue to LOSE weight.
So my thoughts were that I'd track the following things.
Weight
Time of exercise per day
number of cigarettes smoked
number of jobs applied for
Of course, I could easily lie about any of these numbers to try to make myself look better. But that would defeat the purpose of the exercise....and I can only lie for so long. For instance, if I keep saying I'm losing weight but don't change size then it'll be pretty obvious.
This is going to be tough to do, but I'll try to get in the habit of doing it before bed. I may add or remove numbers as appropriate, but I figure it's a good way to get at least some idea of how I'm doing over time. Also, this will encourage me to write on my days more often, which will give me something to use as a memory a long way down the road when I've forgotten all the good stories.
So there you have it...oh, and by the way (I'll update these numbers later tonight)
Weight - 207 this morning
Exercise - 1/4 hour walking
cigs - 0 so far
jobs - 2 so far
Oh, and I need one thing from all of you.... if you think this would be an annoying thing to clog up your friends page then let me know and I'll hide the numbers bit.
