Those are very nice; Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world.

thanks- i didn't realize how colorful barcelona is until i left it and saw pictures my friends and i took of our stay there.

where are you now in this wide world?

Barcelona had a big impact on me when I visited it as a kid, and it hasn't lost any of it on subsequent visits.

We're back in our apartment in Prague, which is more or less home now. Now that the weather is warming up, we might do some more exploring soon.

Ah- so jealous! Pardon me for not being up-to-date on your vida, but are you coming to New Haven in the Fall?

It looks like the answer is no; I'm going to stay away at least another year and finish these damn books.

ah, if only we all were so lucky! i'm planning a new year's trip to europe sometime--can't decide between prague and venice. have been to venice twice and want to go back again, never to prague. suggestions?

I'd suggest going to Prague. It's cold at New Year's, to be sure, but if you haven't been here before, it's worth seeing. If you're lucky, it will be really cold, which makes all the statues look eerie, with long icicles hanging off of them.
