there's totally zero chance any of my brothers will spend the night there with the dog, and he's 14 so he's too old for the kennel really, not that they'd put him in there for just one night anyway. I'm assuming that they just decided it was easier not to ask earlier, since I would have said no, when instead this way they neither have to have a face to face confrontation about it nor try and talk somebody else into doing it.

My start of school has been pretty tame, so honestly I can't complain on that front. It's a huge relief to just be in the HS this year, since the jr high was causing really all of my problems last year.

Good luck. we furloughed so many people in my building last year, and the process and aftermath is almost worse than being let go yourself.

The last most recent all out war with my parents occurred when they were coming up to visit Buffalo and after 5 hours in the car driving they called me to say they were two hours out ask me if I knew whether the hotel they are staying at took dogs.

I was like, "Nnnnoooo I do not know, why would I know this."

And they said, "Well, if you must stand on principle WE can call and ask."

And I was like, "Perchance this contemplated phonecall should have been undertaken BEFORE YOU LEFT."

And they said, "Well if they won't take her you can just have her at your place."

And I said, "NO, IN FACT NO I CANNOT. I have my three, plus a foster dog, plus a ginormous black lab I am babysitting for the holiday weekend which is a menace at the end of a the leash so a sixth would really be a bit much."

And they said, "How are we supposed to know you have extra dogs?"

And I said, "I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE BY ASKING ME ABOUT DOGSITTING FOR YOU IN ADVANCEThey then wondered aloud why we couldn't just communicate ( ... )
