Old St. Joachim's Cemetery
My wife and I took a walk around the neighborhood where we were staying in Beacon New York. Of course we went through the cemetery.

Born in Roscommon Id 183? [County Roscommon, Ireland]
died in Matteawan,
Dec. 19th, 1876.
Erected by a grateful Congregation
(The remains of Rev. Peter McCourt, fourth pastor were transferred to the cemetery in 1886. He had originally been buried in the churchyard in 1876. In 1913, Matteawan joined with Fishkill Landing, to form the town of Beacon.)
Memory of Martin J. Dooley, died July 24, 1892. His Mother, Ann Dooley, died Jan. 9, 1872. May they rest in peace.
This is a big rock. No markings at all. The fragment of a cross on top came from somewhere else.
