(no subject)
Still working on the quilt.Just turnning the binding to the front.Have 1 whole side done and 1/2 of another only 2and a 1/2 sides to go.and off 2morrow night and sat morrning to finnish it.
Out of the blue today while i was at work I got this crazy idea that I would love to have a red petticoat to wear under my wool dress. So the idea nagged at me for a couple hours,and I thought well I could also wear it under my grey skirt and zouave jacket set. the one I trimed in red grograin and I have a red silk blouse to wear with that it would go great under that.skirt.. so I talked my self into it. I wasnt sceduled to work at my night job this evening and from work[day job] Joanns is about a 10min drive from there [about 1/2hour drive from my house depending on the traffic it can be longer]. So I headed over thinking "i'll get 5yards of broadcloth it's like 2:00 a yard that wont break me." I get there the broadcloth is on sale.$ 1:49 a yard ! yippy! and all the red tag fabric is 1/2 off. now it gets scarry cause I got the the plastic with me...well i found a pretty cotton sorta a tera-cotta clay colour with wight harts on it ,it's "ok" would make a sweet daydress it would only be 1:00 a yard. I carry it around a while to see if I realy bond with it...and decide to go drool over the expencive fabrics you know the ones you'll never buy even if there 1/2 off cause there like 29:99 a yard,even 1/2 off. So I'm looking at the high priced stuff ..and head back through the section where hey have the missalanace stuff over by the broadcloth..and I notice some of it is red tag..whoa theres this realy cute woven plaid.not homespun a heaver fabric in red with purple and yellow in it, On sale it was 1:50 a yard..wow..so u know all that scotch blood in me is saying you need this. so i got some of it. And put back the terra-cotta coloured stuff. then there it was 60 inch wide cotton viole white, simi-sheer ,very narrow stripe. and i fell in love.I feels like butterfly wings,it's so soft and fine.I'm thinking never can aford it,bet it's not even on sale..look at the price...Its 2:50 a yard..
With that new red pettie it will give almost a candy cane look to it. only question is sheer summer dress or ball gown? 5 yards of 60 inch fabric I can do alot with it.
