Because I am easily distracted

While I was on holiday...
when managing to sneak some computer time...
while I should have been reading the threads and stories I follow...
while my own challenges were crying out to be played and written...

... I got distracted with the GOS "Good Genes III" challenge.

Yeah, I wanted to play her, you know, to help me get used to looking at her.
Can't remember what I called the girls, but it was something fairly mundane like "Edith" and "Anna". :P
And you're right, they are not bad, but that is bad when bad is what I wanted. Do I make sense at all? 8)

Hehe fun. I've seen a few of these around. For first generation those girls really don't look too bad!

P.S Shadey have you voted on my heir poll yet? I'll close it if you have.

I know! Loads of fellow simmers I know seem to have done this challenge too. It's just too darn tempting.
As I said to Pixie, I kinda wanted the kids to look bad, I wanted to keep the Sy genes. I guess I should have chosen a spouse with weaker genes. Oh well, you live and learn eh? ;)

Oooo - heir poll? I'll go and read and vote right away.

Wow, how cool is that?! I understand why you discontinued, though; not really that hard to breed out normal uglies and odd skin in three generations. You should have them become your game's next beauty queens, the one everyone wants to imitate. ;)

Heh I can't deny they are cool, even if they do have the tenth-generation-Uglacy face. But beauty queens? I can't see that happen. I think those kids had better try to excel in other fields. Though; there is that plastic surgery career reward...

*hmm*

It too bad you didn't continue to breed the kids Shady. I think you might have been able to correct the mouth and brow issues fairly easily.

Sy in the various costumes- LOL

I wish I had found out about this contest sooner. It looked like fun but I didn't go look at it until last week. :( Maybe they will do another one since this was so popular.

Yes, this contest did seem to draw a lot of attention, I noticed that a lot of the entries were first posts, GOS must have seen a steep rise in memberships in the last few weeks.
I never planned to enter it myself, I just couldn't resist trying out Sy's genes in my game. Besides I am not a member of GOS, I only lurk there. ;)

I probably will carry on playing that family when I get another attack of procrastinations, so there is still a chance to see how third generation turns out. I'd better not get another attack of procrastinations anytime soon though, I have so many stories to catch up with. BTW I just read your first BC story chapter and I absolutely love it!

The children look okay! I hadn't thought of using the strong uglacy genes :P Not so great for keeping Sy genes, I see.

Still, even if you aren't continuing, it looks like it was fun to play :)

Definitely fun to play, if nothing else just to see Sy in different headgear.

I had not at all expected that Sy's genes would be overpowered by those Uglacy genes, indeed I had hoped for the opposite; that Sy's genes would stand a better chance to be passed down the generations. But, now at least I am that bit wise for when Good Genes IIII comes along.
