Recent Developments on the Job Front
I just wrote a detailed post about it all, but it got eaten by lj. Whatever.
Basically, I got a job.
Like, a full-time job. As a WIC nutritionist for the Fairfax County Health Department.
This is the same position offered to me when I graduated from UMD, before I was an RD and before I had a master's degree. The pay is more, but not by much.
So. It's bittersweet.
And after being offered (and accepting) this job (today), I went to another job interview today. The position I interviewed for is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Unfortunately, it's a temporary position, 12 weeks, cuz their RD is going on maternity leave (and it may turn into a permanent position if she doesn't return, which actually might happen, but won't know until later). Anyway. Seriously. As close to my DREAM JOB as is possible right now.
I guess I can keep up this job search forever. At some point gotta settle with what I got and be happy with it, huh.
I used to refuse to settle. It's been a beneficial trait thus far in life.
But I'm sooooo tired of being broke. I dunno what to do.
(Also, I couldn't resist, yesterday I bought a SUIT on my CREDIT CARD.)
