Amazing how much can happen in two short weeks...
I knew we'd be busy around here, and I might have my new-found determination for continuity interrupted, but I didnt foresee two weeks; we had a Florida trip, a Telford, PA day, a couple fires at work; one in a crumbling tenement in Bed-Stuy, the other a big commercial building that started in a buffet kitchen, Lara getting more pregnant... "more?" its exciting to bear witness to; soon 'we' will mean more than 'us.' The two of us, anyway.
And we're down to single digits from taking delivery of the house!
Thats a bittersweet thing. I initially looked forward to a mutually joyous occasion, were the Del Costa's departure to Florida would have us waving goodbye to them as they embarked on a new chapter in their lives; living out their golden years by the sunny gulf coast beaches.
They, simultaneously waving back to us, as we prepared to start a new chapter in our own lives, learning parenthood and suburbia while set in their former domicile.
Everyone was supposed to win, but for Gale- due to Flavio's untimely death- the prospects seem less sure.
She claims to find stability and strength in her life because of her relationship with Jesus.
I personally dont understand, but it seems people get religious with age. I think shes always been though.
Everyones on their own journey. People can tell you what its like from where theyre standing, but no one really knows until they get there.
